Looking around at my life, I know…

people who’ve been violent
people who’ve killed
people who’ve been homeless for years
people who were addicted to drugs or alcohol for years
people who sold their bodies for money or drugs
people who paid for someone else’s body
people who were self-centered or narcissistic
people who’ve stolen from innocent people without care
people who’ve stolen from the government
people who’ve hurt people

Angry people, atheists who judge, racists, uniquely flawed people…

Most people who are in these positions, look selfish, hateful, wrong… but they’re actually hurting, alone, and searching for more… they get looked at like there’s no hope for change… They’re told they will “never change,” or, “will fail eventually.”

And because of God, and ONLY because of GOD, they are now people who give their lives to bring joy into others who are hurting, who tell people there’s hope, a way out… Because ONE man, over 2000 years ago, said they were worth HIS sacrifice. Because ONE man, saw them as valuable enough to die for. Because ONE man, knew all their dark secrets AND all the crap the world knows they’ve done, and still saw HOPE.

And you might think that telling them to repent and calling them sinners could save them, but it takes so much more than conviction, condemnation, and judgement to do what ONLY GOD could do… It takes LOVE.

I never understand why Christian’s can’t always see the purpose of the adulterous woman in the Gospels. See, in the old testament, it says if a woman commits adultery, she’s to be stoned to death… And she committed adultery… So, naturally, those who knew this law (because they memorized the word of God) were prepared to stone the adulterous woman. But that ONE MAN… Said, “let he WITHOUT sin, cast the first stone…” And because NOT ONE human being was without sin, the adulterous woman was freed and forgiven.

It took ONE man, ONE GOD … It took JESUS. Obviously, LOVE played a role in the adulterous woman’s fate.
